The challenging star Darshan is deeply concerned about his market strength. “I cannot start from zero in the market and maintaining the steady going is quintessential”, he says when he was asked whether he is ready to take up a film with Girish Kasaravalli as director.

“I do agree Girish Kasaravalli is a great director but I should look at the marketability of the film and contents in it”, said Darshan speaking to a few journalist on Wednesday night after the audio release of his film ‘Shourya’ at KSCA Club.

Darshan says the market booking of his film is not on the muhurut day but it is only when the film gets the final shape. That is the right way to market the film he feels. Asked on what happened to ‘Boss’ he said he is upset with producer Ramesh Yadav completely. “There is no contact since four months and four reels of the film I have not dubbed because of differences of opinion”, Darshan explained. ‘Boss’ stars Shivaji Prabhu as cop and Navya Nayar as heroine.

On this Friday at Mysore the home town of Darshan the new film ‘Prince’ is going on the floor. Sandesh Nagaraj is the producer. A few days later ‘Chingari’ is all set to take off. After completing these two assignments Darshan is taking up a historical film ‘Sangolli Rayanna’.

Very fond of animals, Darshan has a private stud in Mysore where 20 different breed of horses are looked after. Recently Darshan adopted a baby elephant at Mysore Zoo for one year. Ostrich and peacock are among the other pets, Darshan is taking care in his farm house.
