Director Sundardas first hit tinsel town through the Dileep - Manju Warrier starrer 'Sallapam' which went on to become a mega hit. Since then, Dileep has worked with the director a few other times. They were last seen together for the movie 'Kuberan' which was again a massive hit.

After a long gap, Sundardas has now cast Dileep to play the lead role in his upcoming movie. His last movie was 'Rebecca Uthup Khizhakemalla', which had a lukewarm response at the box office. The upcoming Dileep movie might prove to be a revival.
