Popular Tamil actress and Udayannu Tharam fame Meena is foraying to small screen by paying a prominent role in a mega serial to be aired in Sun TV.

However the actress is hopeful that her career in filmdom would continue.

She said, she has been penciled to act opposite Mammootty for an untitled film which would go to floors later this year. However she did not divulge more details about the film.

Meena also said a couple of other production houses from Malayalam have approached her to play lead role. However she is yet to listen to the scripts.

Unfortunately her Tamil movie opposite Jayasurya had been shelved and she is now shooting for the mega-serial.
