Malayalam heroine Mamta Mohandas, who is awaiting the release of her maiden Tamil venture Sivapathikaram is all set to make a unique debut in Telugu. She would be perhaps the first actress from Kerala to make her debut as singer in Telugu filmdom.

She would sing a song for actress Ileana for the movie Rakhi. The song is being composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The music composer, who listened to a couple of tracks rendered by Mamta is lavishing praises on his singing ability.

Meanwhile shooting for Mamta's debut venture as heroine in a Telugu movie titled Aata will commence early next month.
