In an interesting effort, Paavada Venam, Melaada Venam one of the biggest hit songs of Malluwood film music history was rerecorded in a different tune. The original song from the I.V.Sasi hit film Angadi of 1979 starring Jayan was set to a different but slow tune for the new film Kala Bazaar, again by the same director.

This recreation of the thirty year old song was made by the music director M.Jayachandran who was in debates recently following his rehash of old drama song Pacha Panam for the film Nottam. M.Jayachandran explains that this time every problem related to the remix has been taken care into. They had talked to Bicchu Thirumala the original lyricist and Shyam, the music director and obtained necessary permissions to make some changes in the song and in its tunes.

Kala Bazaar with Suresh Gopi in the lead is planned as a sequel to Angady which hit the screens thirty years ago. I.V.Sasi the veteran director is also in the lookout for a welcome hit with the film to reinstate his position as a hit film director.
