Besides being a good dancer in all form of dancing, Jiah also aimed at excelling at her acting school at Lee Strasberg Institute in the U.S. The Lee Strasberg Institute boasts of illustrious alumni like Dust in Hoffman, Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Jane Fender etc.Trained in the Method School of Acting, Jiah was taught to recollect any similar past experiences in real life whilst acting a scene.

And whilst doing research on Directors across the world as part of her study she headed towards Mumbai to do a complete study on Indian Directors. And the rest they say is history, with RGV discovering her. Those close to her maintain that according to her, Though Lolita was a lot about sex, ‘Nishabd’ is not. And though there are some intimate scenes, they have been portrayed very sensually. More then physical action or exposure, the emotions are very sensuous in ‘Nishabd’.

And must say she is all praise for her acting school that taught her to be confident during such scenes. Of course those monsoon sessions in Khandala with her mentor Ram Gopal Verma must also have been a good exercise in ‘losing’ inhibitions before the camera. Right Jiah…Hmmmm…
