Lal announces Bharath Gopi memorial endowment

Mohanlal was beaming with the memories of Late master actor Bharath Gopi, when he was at Kochi yesterday to be a part of the premiere of his movie 'Aakashagopuram'. The actor recalled his experiences with Gopi during the shoot of the movie.

One of the last movies of Bharath Gopi the film has him as Abraham, the mentor and former employer of Albert Samasun the character played by Mohanlal.

Citing the movie as a tribute to the master actor in Bharath Gopi, Mohanlal also announced an endowment in memory of him at a press conference held prior to the premiere of the film.

The 'Bharath Gopi' endowment will consist of a purse of Rs. 51,000, which will be given to the best new actor in the Malayalam industry, every year.
