Big B calls Ilayaraja a genius

Amitabh Bachchan was in Chennai on Wednesday for some post-production works for his movie Paa. The movie starring Big B, his son Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan, has cinematography by P C Sreeram, music by Ilayaraja and directed by Cheeni Kum fame Balki.

With much has been written about the Bachchans reversing their real life roles in reel for the movie, check out what Amitabh Bachchan says on the crew behind the movie

On Ilayaraja: “I considered him a genius. He knows anything and everything about music. I am fortunate to work in his musical score after Chenni Kum.”

On P C Sreeram: “He is a bundle of talent, which he has proving all through the years. A master craftsman, Sreeram is a dedicated technician.”

Balki: “I have a great rapport with Balki. He strives to try different things. A great writer, he does manage to get the best out of his artistes.” In Paa, Amitabh plays a 13-year-old Auro, who suffers from Progeria, a rare genetic disorder, leading to the child ageing faster than normal.
