''It is high time to control other language films in Kerala, for the good of desi stuff. At least such a restriction is unavoidable at least during the filmi seasons like Onam, Id, Vishu and Christmas-observes Super star Mohanlal. He was speaking to press after the screening of this new movie ‘Ivide Swargamaanu’. The movie which had to fight with Hollywood biggies like ‘2012’ and ‘Avathar’, had a tough task to secure enough number of theatres during Christmas season for a decent release. ''So if we have to save Malayalam cinema, we must regulate the release of films from outside the industry. Many other States are doing this,” he said

Mohanlal pointed out that the production cost or remuneration of artistes was not the real crisis of Malayalam film industry but lack of good stories and scripts. 'It is up to the producers to decide how much they would like to invest in a film. He added that he would decide his remuneration, rather than going by any other organisation's words.

The director of the movie Roshan Andrews who spoke at the function said that they had done much research before embarking upon the project. ''Every ordinary citizen in Kerala must see the movie as it delves into the issues and conspiracies related to land deals and the land mafia in our State.” Mr. Andrews said. The artists of the movie Shankar and Priyanka also spoke at the function.
