T K Rajeev Kumar, whose latest film ‘Oru Naal Varum’ is in theatres today, will have an hectic schedule after the release of this Mohanlal -Sreenivasan movie. The director will immediately start his next movie, a remake of the hit of the seventies-‘Rathinirvedam’.

One of the biggest hits of Bharathan -Padmarajan duo, the movie was much in discussion for its bold sensitive theme.

Jayabharathi was in the original donning the controversial role of Radhu Chechi, while Krishnachandran appeared as adolescent boy just into college, having a relation with Radhu who was much older than him.

The remake of ‘Rathinirvedam’ will be produced by Sureshkumar of Revathy Kalamandhir, who had attained reasonable success with the remake of ‘Neelathamara’ last year. The crew is in the lookout for a face to don the lead character.
