In an interesting comeback to quality movies, Superstar Mohanlal will once again play a character in the scripts of the veteran M T Vasudevan Nair. He is expected to play the role of 'Upagupthan' in the new project scripted by M T Vasudevan Nair, based on Kumaranasan's renowned work 'Karuna'.

One of the national award jury member of the year Harikumar will call the shots for this movie which is yet to be titled. Harikumar had earlier been with good critical reviews with his previous movie with M T Sukrutham.

Mohanlal and MT had worked together in many films in their 30 years in films, of which films like Panchagni, Uyarangalil, Rangam, Amritham Gamaya, Uyarangalil, Idanilangal, Adiyozhukkukal, Sadhayam, Thazhvaram and Aalkootathl Thaniye were critically applauded.
