Success spawns success. Hopefully, in remakes too. These days Malayalam hits are being gobbled up in a jiffy by Tamil filmmakers.

After Mammooty’s Thommanum Makkalum, it’s now the turn of Suresh Gopi’s Bharathchandran to be remade in Tamil.

The movie would feature Sathyaraj in Suresh Gopi’s role and would be directed by Raj Kapoor and produced by Sundari Films.

Bharathchandran IPS, a comeback movie for Suresh Gopi, turned out to be a big hit at the box office in Kerala and Suresh Gopi is now back in the big league. Now the movie will speak in Tamil with Sathyaraj donning the khakhi.

Meanwhile, it is also being said that Vikram will remake Chaandupottu, starring Dileep in effeminate character.

Films like Kasthoorimaan are already being remade in Tamil.

A good augury for Malayalam filmdom on the whole.
