Though Meera established her presence in Tamil and Telugu, she did not forget her roots. She continued to act in Malayalam films, unlike Nayantra who bid bye to acting in Mallu movies.
Following the footsteps of Meera Jasmine is the Lanka girl Mamta. The young heroine, who is acting in a Tamil movie Sivapathigaram and a Telugu movie to be produced by M S Raju featuring Siddharth in the lead role, is all set to act in a Malayalam film simultaneously.
Mamta Mohandas returns to Malayalam with another Mohanlal film- Ali Bhai. Shaji Kailash has managed to convince the actress to accept the offer. The film will be shot mainly in and around Kozhikode.
