"From the day one, we were thinking of a film which will communicate more through the visuals than with the words. I am happy that the viewers have taken the film in its right spirit and acknowledged the differnece and power of its presentation", says Amal Neerad who was here in the capital city to address the press, who was in all praise for the film. "Big B has a bunch of young and energetic team with the average age of its crew being 28. Their thinking and work has given the film its slick and suave look. We have made sure that the audience experiences this sleekness from its promotion posters to the very end of the film", he said.

When the press tried to compare Big B with the recent Ram Gopal Varma films, Amal resisted the attempt and said, "By my experience, I am quite sure that RGV is a director who always like to present a film in its raw reality. He don't even like to add a slow motion to his film, which may come as a resistance to its narrative. But, I from my earlier age of filming like to play with possible effects, be it in frames or in editing table".

When asked about the role that Mammootty played with perfection in the film, Amal opines that, "It is of no doubt that Mammootty is one of the most talented and experienced actors around. I just told him about the character, who behaves unpredictably and speaks in one-liners with little expressions. And what he displayed in the takes was more than that I demanded. Directors expect more from him but he surpasses their expectations by giving out wonderful performance every time. His mind set to always experiment with new roles and encourage talented youngsters is a boon to Malluwood".
