Director Shyama Prasad's Ore Kadal with Mammootty in the lead role will hit the screens on July 12.

The shooting for the movie will come to close later this week. Ore Kadal has a huge star cast which includes Meera Jasmine, Naren and Ramya Krishnan besides Mammootty.

As Shobana is busy with her dance performances, Ramya Krishnan replaced her in the film.

Mammootty plays an economist in the film. It is based on the life of Amartya Sen, an Indian economist who ended up winning the Nobel Prize.

Meera Jasmine and Naren play husband and wife. Ramya had earlier acted with Mammootty in Neram Pularthumbhol.
