July is going to be a month for big releases in 2007. Before a decade the month was considered as one of the worst one for releases due to the ongoing monsoon seasons. But now every superstar has come up with some of their best for the month.

The trend of July releases all started with Dileep, who considers July 4 as the luckiest day of the year. And so he is instrumental in getting one of his films released on the date.

And for this year he has a film titled after the date, July 4, in which he is, for the first time, pairing opposite Roma. The film is directed by veteran Joshy is a feel good family entertainer with scripts by Sibi K Thomas - Udhay Krissna and few good songs by Ouseppachan. Shot in around ten locations, the film has the potential to become one of the best in the season.

Immediate next day that is on July 5 will witness Mohanlal arriving with his latest film Hello. The film Marks the reunion of Lal with the comedy duo Rafi Mecartin, who are the directors of a number of trendsetters in Malayalam cinema. The film has debutant Parvathi Milton as Lal's heroine. The preview reports suggests that the film is a sure bet which entertains like anything. Mohanlal is in an out and out comedy role as a drunken advocate will full time screen support from Jagathy who is playing chandy, his friend in the film.

Many expect the film to repeat the magic of Kilukkam on July 12, Mammootty's Mission 90 Days is scheduled for release. The thriller based on Rajiv Gandhi assassination was completed in a normally impossible mission of 29 days. Directed by writer director Major Ravi, who won a state award for his last years Mohanlal super hit Keerthi Chakra, the film is said to be an action thriller to the core, with Mammootty playing the NSG commando Shivram. Tulip Joshi is the heroine of the film.

Two days after Mission 90 days that is on July 14, the numbero uno director in Malayalam cinema Lal Jose, will release his new film Arabikkatha shot extensively on Gulf. The film has the lead by Sreenivasan and Zhang Shu Min, a Chinese girl. The film is the most expected Malayalam movie overseas and will start a new releasing territory for Malayalam films in Gulf regions. The songs of the films are already a hit in Malluwood.

Suresh Gopi will have a July release in Nadiya Kolapetta Rathri, directed by K.Madhu, the film is extensively shot on a running train and will be one of the rarest told stores in Malayalam. Suresh Gopi has much expectation on the film as he has not been able to deliver any big hits in 2007.

The film with A K Sajan in scripts is said to be an edge of the seat thriller. The film which is scheduled for release on July 20, have Kavya Madhavan doing the title character.

Another release expected on the same date is Naivedhyam by Lohithadas. The film which presents another group of Youngsters to Malayalam cinema will be on one of the best scripts by the writer director. The film presents Vinoo Mohan, Aparna and Bhama in the lead roles.

On the last week of the month, Kalabhavan Mani's Indrajith will find its way to theatres. Directed by Haridas, the film was completed a couple of months ago. Apart from these a number of smaller releases and dubbing films like Devadas are also planning to get into theatres this month.

Let' wait and see, which of these flicks will click among masses in over pouring filmi schedules and monsoons.
