Jayaram had more than a worse year in 2007 with two films – ‘Sooriyan’ and ‘Anchil Oraal Arjunan’, which were damp squibs in the box office. Both these films had him in good roles which, the actor had done quite well. But it seems that the audience who had seen the actor in same type of roles for long is expecting a change of presentation styles from him.

Jayaram is starting the New Year on a fresh slate with a different role in the next weekend release 'Novel' directed by East coast Vijayan. The film has six good songs set to music by M Jayachandran and Umbayee. The movie will also feature Anniyan fame Sada for the first time in Mollywood.

The actor suddenly seems to be among busy schedules once again, as he has now another three Malayalam projects under his sleeves including Joshy's multi star Twenty-Twenty, Anil's Paarthan Kanda Paralokam and Rajbabu's Plastic Surgery. Jayaram will also have three films in Kollywood in 2008, including 'Doomdham' and 'Saroja'. The actor is hoping that this New Year will bring back all the fortunes in box office that is evading him for the last couple of years.
