The new movie from Jayasuriya, 'Nallavan' which is expected to give a face lift to the current image of the star is all set to grace the movie halls by the second week of June. Presenting Jayasuriya in four different getups and three stages of ages, this movie from debut director Aji John will also have the young star appearing with a totally clean shaven head for one of the stages. The movie is said to offer Jayasuriya with immense possibilities to display his histrionic skills. With plenty of well shot action sequences, ‘Nallavan’ will be an acid test for Jayasuriya as a salable independent hero who is also capable of doing action oriented roles.

The movie with a rare storyline about the village lad forced to break jails five times in his life due to peculiar reasons, has scripts by Ajith. ‘Nallavan’ which is in its final stages of post production has almost 129 minutes of running time with three songs. Interestingly, the movie will have to take on Mohanlal-Sreeni combo's ‘Oru Naal Varum’ which will also get into theatres on the same week. And if Jayasuriya and ‘Nallavan’ manage to stand well before the biggie, it will herald the arrival of another career stage for the star.
