As more and more Mollywood heroines get married and quit the industry recently, the import of more heroines from other states is on the rise. Malayalam cinema industry, which is witnessing a scarcity of heroines has now gone for lean doll like heroines with little expressions than Mollywood actresses, in the recent days. Even while answering the act as the choice of audience, the scriptwriters of the films don't take enough measures to provide spaces to heroines from other languages to proves their acting talents.

The other language heroines who immediately accept the Malayalam roles in the aspiration that they will get something to do here, are fooled by the outcome.

The case of Shriya Saran in ‘Pokkiri Raja’ and Gowri Munjal in ‘Palery’ and Bhoomika in ‘Bhramaram’ are example of this fate. Apart from them, a number of heroines who were loaded down last year including Namitha, Meenakshi, Sheela and Charmi also met with similar situations, with nothing new in their characters. Only proven faces like Padmapriya, Lakshmi Rai, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and Kaniha, all from other states are able to continue with their mesmerizing act on Mollywood audience.

But the trends are going to continue as more and more fresher names of other language heroines are now being heard becoming part of newer movies.
