After proving himself to be a mass hero, successful actor and playback singer, young star Prithivraj is now making a try as an able producer of quality films. He has already floated a production firm with famous cinematographer-director Santhosh Sivan in the title ‘August Cinema’. The big budgeted period film ‘Urumy’ will be their first film as producers.

Santhosh Sivan had started his association with Prithviraj in the hit movie ‘Anandha Bhadram’. Recently they were together shooting for Mani Ratnam's ‘Raavanan’. Santhosh Sivan will himself direct the new project 'Urumy'.

Set in the backdrop of Portuguese arrival to Kerala, ‘Urumy’ (an 8 feet flexible sword used in Kalary) will feature Genelia as the heroine, who will don the role of a Portuguese princess. Scripted by Shankar Ramakrishan, the makers have already recorded a few songs with Deepak Dev, setting tunes. Planned as a multilingual in Malayalam, Tamil and English, the movie will kick off its shot at Kerala and forests of the central India from the 16th of August.
