After much discussions and debates, Mollwood is finally moving on to an age of wide releases. From today, any movie maker can release his films to maximum centres without considering whether the centres are A, B or C centres. As per the new consensus reached, any new movie can be released in any centres, anywhere in kerala, if the theatre has air conditioner facility and dts sound system.

The producers association who welcomes the new initiatives, believes this as the only way to bring back the capital spend of film industry, which is currently in a crisis. The new measures is also expected to become a boost for starting new theatres with right facilities in fresher centres. It is learned that 15 newly constructed theatres will come up in the state in the coming thee months.

The first movies that will be utilising the wide release facilities will be 'Rathinirvedham' and 'Vadamalli', expected to be on theatres by the 10th of this month.
