Padmapriya is flying high. The tall and young actress has managed to bag the plump role in Malayalam. She is the heroine in veteran director Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s forthcoming film.

Adoor Gopalakrishnan, who has won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, is directing a movie which is inspired by a novel by Thakazhi Sivasankaran Pillai.

Sivasankaran Pillai needs no introduction. A versatile scholar his novels like Chemmeen, Kayiru and Thottiyin Magan are popular among literature lovers. Adoor Gopalakrishnan has already made a film based on noted author Vaikkom Mohammed Bashir's Madhilugal and won awards for the film.

In this film, Padmapriya has donned the role of a call girl.

Thrilled to be part of Adoor’s film, Padmapriya says, “I hope to hone my acting skills with the movie.”
