Mohanlal presented with Panambilli award

The third Panambilli Smaraka 'Prathibha Puraskaram' was presented to super star Mohanlal by the Union defence minister A K Antony, on Wednesday.

Giving away the awards, Antony noted that it is no surprise that the jury couldn't find any other name for the award, than the versatile actor. The award instituted by KPCC's cultural wing 'Samskaara Saahithy' in memory of Panambilly Govinda Menon, carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a memento and citation.

The earlier awardees include Sugatha Kumari and Sukumar Azhikkodu.
