B-town is mourning at the loss of its 'Yahoo' icon. Shammi Kapoor, who left for heavenly abode recently, is being missed by one and all, from reel and real world. But the ones who are really feeling the empty space that the veteran star has left are the people behind Imtiaz Ali's forthcoming film 'Rockstar'.

Shammiji gave his last screen performance for this one which stars his grand nephew Ranbir Kapoor. Reportedly to be their first and last film together, Shammiji and Ranbir feature in a jugalbandi sequence where the veteran plays a shehnai while the latter plays a guitar. According to sources, Shammiji's character symbolises bygone generation while Ranbir's portrays contemporary one. The Youngistan star feels quite thankful that he got a chance to work with the elder Kapoor.

Reminiscing over the working experience with such a megastar, director Imtiaz Ali believes it is a blessing that Kapoor gave him the opportunity to spend time with him. "Shammi Kapoor's void cannot be filled by anyone. It is the greatest honour to have worked with him," quoted Imtiaz to sources.

Feeling deeply over the loss of Shammi Kapoor, the team is planning to make 'Rockstar' a tribute to the 'Junglee' famed star. Some of the unit sources referred the legendary actor as the true Rockstar on the sets. For, he was always smiling and full of life. Not only that, he never complained and just wanted to have fun while he worked, the sources added.
