She is the most happening gal in Kollywood.
But Kadhal fame Sandhya says, 'my entering Kollywood was a mere accident. Director Shankar, who happened to see my photograph, called me for a make-up test. He immediately decided to cast me as heroine for his home production Kadhal directed by Balaji Sakthivel".
The rest is, as they say, pure fantasy.
Asked about the movie's success, Sandhya says, "I never thought that I would become popular over night. People have been appreciating my performance and it is indeed a pleasant feeling. All credit should go to Balaji Sakthivel. I just did what my director demanded from me on screen".
"People have identified me as an actress, who can perform well. Hence, I will choose performance oriented roles and if it demands glamour, I am not averse to it", Sandhya says.
