Jothika known as Jo has refused to act in a film opposite Vikram. Director Hari who directed Arul with Jo and Vikram is to do yet another film with Vikram. He asked Jo for dates but she turned down the offer without giving any concrete reasons. It was during the making of Arul that rumors of Surya – Jothika split came up. He was angry with her for getting close to Vikram. This resulted in great tension on the sets of Peralagan.
