Actor Vijayakanth has been aspiring to enter politics for sometime. Now things look indeed serious.

The president of Nadigar Sangam, who is making a whirlwind tour around the State to meet his fans organized a medical camp for his fans in Chennai Tuesday where he chose to launch a scathing attack on PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss.

Terming him as a man who runs a caste-based political party, Vijayakanth hit out the self-styled champion of Tamil cause for aligning with political forces from North India.

Continuing his rhetorical campaign, Vijayakanth said, “soon I will plunge into politics to answer such men”.

The macho-man of Tamil movies, Vijayakanth said, 'my gesture to hold a medical camp for my fans was only to show my concern towards them. My day will surely come. Apparently taking a dig at Ramadoss, Vijayakanth further said he has been thriving in politics through caste factor. “In today's modern world, caste is no more a major issue that separates people. An end to such mean desire would come soon”.

Hundreds of his fans gathered on the occasion and cheered their favorite star.

Vijayakanth’s words came on the same day when actor Kamal Haasan declined to change the name of his film Mumbai Xpress.

With two leading lights of the industry taking potshots at him, Ramadoss is bound to hit back.

The messy fight doubtless will get messier.
