Mayavi has the last laugh

Director turned producer Bala is a relieved man now.

All the alleged attempts by producer V A Durai, who seems to have run from pillar to post to prevent Bala from screening his maiden production venture Mayavi, has gone in vain.

Durai had filed a petition at Madras High Court seeking a stay on the release of Mayavi stating that Bala had to pay him sum of Rs 90 lakh (the loss incurred by Durai producing Pithamagan directed by Bala about a couple of years ago).

The case came up for hearing Tuesday and the Judge after hearing the arguments of both sides pulled up Durai for filing the case and also dismissed it.

With all hitches cleared, this Surya-Jothika starrer is all set for release Thursday.
