Sathyaraj is going for image make-over. And it is time too. His lollus having been reduced to tiresome cliches, he needs changes very badly. Sathyaraj they say is trying bring his acting to the fore in his forthcoming release Kurukshetram.

Being directed by director Jaya Bharathy, who wielded the megaphone for national-award winners like Kudisai and Nanba Nanba before, Kurushetram features him in the role that fits his age.

He plays a caring husband who is affected by paranoia in the movie.

Detailing his role, Jayabharathy, says, 'he is an excellent actor. His performance in movies like Vedam Puthithu and Kadalora Kavithaigal deserves a special mention. In the recent past he was trapped in the vivious circle of 'image'. Kurukshetram will change the trend'.

Sathyaraj has Roja opposite him.

A popular Kannada actor Rajendra Kumar produces the movie which also features him in the role of a negative character.

Plans are on to release the movie this June and efforts to send them for various film fests are already on, says Jaya Bharathy.
