The Madras High Court today lifted the stay on the release of Kamal Hassan starrer Dasavatharam.

Dasavatharam is produced by Oscar Ravichandran featuring Kamal Hassan in ten different roles. The movie is directed by K S Ravikumar. A couple of months ago, one Senthil Kumar from Tambaram had filed a petition seeking a stay on the film claiming that it was his original story.

The court had sought for a reply from the actor and Oscar Films. In his reply Kamal had stated that it is totally false on the part of the plaintiff to say that, "Dasavatharam is a plagiarized story. Dasavatharam is a story which was completely borne out of my imagination and creative thinking", he stated.

On Tuesday, the case came up for hearing before Judge Ramasubramaniam at the Madras High Court.

Both Kamal Hassan and Senthil Kumar submitted their script to the Judge.

After a close scrutiny, the Judge announced that they were two different stories without any similarity between them. He ordered to lift the stay on Dasavatharam's release.
