Prakash Raj's Mozhi and director Ameer's Paruthi Veeran have successfully completed a 50-day run at the box-office.

Both the movies, which were different from each other, set a new trend in Tamil cinema. Amidst commercial clichéd masala entertainers, they for their different theme won critical acclaims.

Mozhi, directed by Radha Mohan, features Prithviraj and Jyothika in lead roles, while the latter marks the debut venture of Karthi (Suriya's sibling) on the big screen.

Says an avid film-buff, “The success of such films goes on to prove that audiences are ready to welcome innovative themes. The success of such films will motivate directors and producers to opt for different cinema. It shows that the taste and preference of the audience are healthy”.
