Vishal’s Malaikottai is being shot at a rapid pace. Starring Priyamani opposite Vishal, the movie is directed by Boopathy Pandian, who is fresh from the success of Thiruvilayadal.

Boopathy Pandian says,”The movie features Vishal as a cool young guy who comes to Trichy for vacation. He comes across Priyamani and falls in love with her. Coming to know the problems that she is facing from a few, Vishal fights for her cause and helps her overcome all problems”.

Ashish Vidyarthi and Kannada actor Devaraj play the baddie in the movie while Mayilsamy, Manobala and Kadhal Dhandapani play pivotal roles.

Manisharma is scoring music for the movie. Produced by T Ajay, the movie is being shot in various places including Trichy, Kumbakonam, Patteswaram, Pattukottai and Madurai. Stunts are by Kanal Kannan and cinematography by Vaithi.
