This is the first time that director Shankar has given an opportunity for an actor to a play a lead role in two movies and the lucky actor to have bagged that honour is Nanda. Many remember him as the lanky hero who played flirt in 'Mounam Psiyadhay' or as hero in 'Punnagai Poove'.

The actor now has six movies to his credit. And despite his last flick 'Urchagam' not being the hit it should have been, the actor finds himself flooded with new interesting roles.

At first Nanda was signed by him for 'Eeram', directed by Shankar’s associate Arivazhagan. This film is being produced by Shankar's S Pictures. It is said that the actor wowed both with his acting prowess that Shankar decided to give him another chance. This time, it was Naga of Marmadesam fame who debuts as director with the supernatural thriller 'Aanandhatha Purathu Veedu'. Naga was looking for a hero and Nanda bagged this offer too, and he plays the lead in this film which is about the happenings in a haunted house. Chaya Singh plays his wife in the movie.
