It seems that the 2010 wedding list of Tamil cinema will be given a kickstart by Tharun Gopi. The filmmaker-actor will marry Janu Lingeswari, a Sri Lankan Tamil, in Madurai on 15 January, 2010.
According to circles close to Tharun Gopi, Janu Lingeswari is a computer professional, who resides at Jaihindpuram in the temple town. What started as a friendship between the couple will end in wedding with the blessings of elders in both the families.
Says Tharun Gopi, 'We have planned a reception in Chennai. But the date and venue have not been finalised yet.'
The filmmaker, who made movies like 'Thimiru' and 'Kaalai', became an actor with 'Mayandi Kudumbathaar'. He is currently acting in 'Jeeva Poonga'.
