A couple of days after Superstar Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya entered wedlock, Kollywood witnessed another grand wedding ceremony on Sunday, when ace lyricist Vairamuthu’s second son Kabilan tied the knot.

The marriage was presided over by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and was attended by personalities from both politics and film world. The bride M Ramya is the daughter of district magistrate M Mayandi.

In his address, Karunanidhi said the relationship he shares with Vairamuthu is like that of an elder brother and younger brother. “No one can separate us. The marriage has once again reaffirmed this,” the DMK president said. While Rajinikanth said he is very close to the lyricist and would share all personal matters with him, Kamal Haasan said in his address that Vairamuthu is a person who would give utmost importance to friendship.

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin, Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adigal, VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan, State Ministers and a large number of actors and directors participated.
