Actor-producer-director Thyagarajan is busy. For ‘Mambattiyan’, a film which has his son Prashanth in the lead role is going to have its audio release soon. Directed by Thyagarajan himself, the movie is produced by his home banner Lakshmi Shanthi Movies.

“Since the film marks the comeback of Prashanth, Thyagarajan is making grand arrangements for the music launch. The who is who of Tamil film industry will take part in the function,” says sources in the know.

A remake of yesteryear Thyagarajan starrer ‘Malayur Mambattian’, the new version has Meera Jasmine opposite Prashanth. “Directing Prashanth and Meera is delight. They are thorough professionals,” says Thyagarajan.

The director adds: “We have made some changes to the script. The film will attract today’s audience too, as the story is very strong. Prashanth has lived up to his sobriquet ‘Top Star’ in Mambattian.”
