SJ Suryah, the director-actor who left Kollywood for Tollywood is returning with additional responsibility. Yes, SJ Suryah will take up an extra portfolio apart from acting and directing in his newly planned film in Tamil.

Though he debuted as a director with 'Vaali', SJ Suryah's passion was with acting. He also got reasonable success as a hero with different movies like 'New' and 'Aa... Aaa'. But the movies that followed them, Kalvanin Kadhali, Vyabari, Thirumagan and Newtonin Moondram Vidhi were catastrophic to his hero career and the creative director was forced into oblivion.

Last year he resurfaced in Telugu directing the Pawan Kalyan hit film ‘Puli’. Now after five years of hiatus SJ Suryah is starting his new Tamil film titled 'Isai'. In this new film SJ Suryah will wear the additional cap of the music director apart from his regular hero and director caps.

SJ Suryah, turning a music director is very surprising because he was one of the closest director friends of AR Rahman. What went wrong between them? There were some rumours of differences of opinion with the music maestro while recording the BGM of ‘Puli’ last year.

But for his new launch, SJ Suryah said to be ready with four songs and three theme music compositions.
