DMDK president and actor Vijayakanth arrived at Chennai airport this morning after a 13-day summer vacation in Italy.

The actor-turned-politician, along with his wife Premalatha, sons Prabhakaran and Shanmuga Pandian, wife's brother L K Sudeesh, his wife Jothi and two children left Chennai on a flight to Dubai on 29 April.

From Dubai he traveled to Rome by another flight. He visited many important destinations. He has also been to France, according to sources.

He returned with his family members at the Chennai airport today. At the airport, he was welcomed by the DMDK presidium chairman Panrutti Ramachandran and other leaders of the party.

Spending time out in a foreign country has been Vijayakanth's routine every summer.
