British actress Mandy Thakar, who has previously appeared in a couple of Punjabi films will be playing a role in Venkat Prabhu's Biriyani. The news comes after reports suggested that Richa, who was initially considered for the role walked out of the movie after seeing changes in script with respect to her character.

Mandy made her debut in 'Bumboo' and will be joining the Biriyani gang, which already includes Karthi, Hansika and Premgi Amaren playing the lead roles. Recently, it was reported that Premgi would be sporting a new look in the film. Considering his role in Goa, we might just see him teaming up with Mandy again. Biriyani also marks Yuvan's 100th film in Tamil cinema and will be an comedy entertainer just like Venkat Prabhu's recent films.
