Southscope is an Indian English Magazine dedicated in featuring actors and actresses, not only the famous ones, but the ones with the dreams and potential of becoming stars too. This magazine is always known for its way of portraying a celebrity as not just the personality they appear to be, but for the person they actually are. Aruna R Krishnan, the lady behind the scenes, joined Allu Suresh in making this magazine come true. She is known to all as the Editor and Publisher of Ritz, South India's Biggest Lifestyle Magazine.

The 4th calendar launch of Southscope is what happened recently. Every year, the current trendsetters and fashion icons of Southern Cinema are featured in this calender. This year was no different. A group of young and vibrant faces mark the pages of the calendar, of which the star icons include Vishal, Tapsee, Tammannah, Prithvi Raj and Amala Paul.

Courtyard Marriot, Chennai. The ramp was set up and the room was lit. The stars were yet to arrive. The empty room had a buzz to it, like the one you feel before a storm hits the shore. And hit it did! The first star to walk on the ramp was the very charming young Gautham Karthik. He breezed in with a grin amidst the clicks and flashes of professional cameras. Then came Tapsee, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Shreya Reddy, Iniya, Miss South India 2013 Anusha Venkatramanan, Ganesh, Shravanthi Sainath of "Life of Pi" and last but not the least, Vishal. So many dazzlers and A list stars that ones mind boggles at the thought of them all in one place. Too much to handle? Not for Aruna. She was the epitome of calm confidence in every step, speech and smile. The event was entertaining, classy and stylish, the perfect example of what Southscope deems to be. After the walk, the stars launched the calendar along with Aruna and the evening came to a smooth end. The electricity in the room seemed greater than usual as the stars themselves were all excited to be on the calender of Southscope this year. Good to see a well meaning magazine getting the fame it deserves. Until next year then. Adieus!
