Shruti Hassan was admitted in Apollo Hospital following a severe abdominal pain on the 5th January and underwent appendicitis immediately. She is back to her job of acting, which she is doing at the sets of 'Gabbar', starring Akshay Kumar, Asin, Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood, Govind Namdev etc.
The film is incidentally a remake of the south blockbuster from Murugadoss viz., ÂRamana in Tamil with Vijaykanth and VV VinayakÂs ÂTagore in Telugu with Chiranjeevi. The Hindi version is being directed by Telugu director Krish Jagarlamudi who shot to fame with meaningful cinema like ÂGamyamÂ, ÂVedam and ÂKrishnam Vande JagadgurumÂ.
This is the first schedule of the production, produced jointly by 18 Viacom Motion Pictures and Bhansali Pictures Pvt. LtdÂs Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The successful music duo Sajid-Wajid is composing the music for the film.
