Madhurai High Court has dismissed the petition filed by a director named Ravi Ratnam, who claimed the ownership of 'Lingaa' story, a few days back and the movie seemed to have cleared all the hurdles.

Super Star Rajinikanth fans are sure that this December 12th will be a double treat for them as the film is releasing on Rajinikanth's birthday. But another director named Sakthivel filed a case against K.S.Ravikumar and producer Rockline Venkatesh, alleging that the story of 'Lingaa' has been copied from his 'Uyir Anai' movie. The court issued notices to the director and producer and the movie may not be released as per the plan.

Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha are the leading ladies in this movie. Jagapathi Babu, Santhanam and Karunakaran played key roles. The audio of the Telugu version will be launched on December 8th in Hyderabad.
