With films likeÂAnandÂ, ÂStyleÂ, and ÂGodavari Bengali Beauty Kamalini Mukherjee became a household name in Andhra Pradesh.
After the release of ÂAnandÂ, she was flooded with offers. She chose to act in films, where there is scope to perform. Also she did not want to restrict herself to glamour roles.
With ÂGodavariÂ, receiving the Thumbs-up from the public, the producers and directors are making a beeline to sign her. She has not signed any film as yet. Plans are afoot to remake the Venkatesh starrer ÂLakshmi in Kannada.
Ravichandran is the hero. Kamalini has been approached to do the role played by Nayanatra in the original. Presently, discussions are going on. If it materializes, she is going to make her debut opposite Ravichandran, one of the top heroes in Kannada. It is going to be a dream debut for her, and straight away it is going to place her in the elite league there.
