Venkatesh entered into the films as the son of a star producer D Ramanaidu. He continued to shed a particular image right from the beginning, though in the early days of his career, he accepted some commercial formula films to settle in the industry.

After getting a stronghold in the Telugu film industry, he started doing other films as well to avoid a certain image. He did some family subjects like 'Pavitra Bandham and Pelli Chesukundam.' Though some criticised that people may not accept him in family subjects as almost all his earlier films are with commercial formula.

Despite that he proved his mettle and proved that he was able to do such films and the audiences made the films big hits. Later 'victory' has become almost his surname and people started calling him Victory Venkatesh. He continued to do different family entertainers.

Though the subject is age-old, the movement of the film had some novelty. You can find from 'Premante… Ideraa' till 'Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule' — in all these films, the hero loves a girl. Later, he enters the family of the girl and become near and dear to that family. In the end, there will be a small twist and finally it is the union of the hero with the heroine.

Though all the family subjects that came with Venkatesh as hero had a similar storyline, but there is a little difference in the movement to achieve a hit.

Venkatesh says, 'Almost all the family entertainers in which I played the hero were hits. Even the directors are of the opinion that 'Doing a family subject with Venkatesh is the best bet.'

The sentiment was once again proved with the success of 'Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule'.
