Trisha, Anushka Shetty, Sneha – they are out. And, now, Amala Paul is in. We are talking about the much-in-news role of Venkatesh's wife in Seethamma Vakitlor Sirimalle Chettu. This has been pocketed by the budding actress Amala Paul. Recently seen in Naga Chaitanya's Bejawada, she was in news after she signed a Siddharth film (Love Failure).

This is the biggest film in the career of Amala, who began her career in Malayalam, and went on to act in popular Tamil films like Mynaa (Prema Khaidi in Telugu). No body might have expected her to go up the ladder so fast, despite not-so glamorous looks.

What is Amala's secret? Her acting talent, obviously. Don't go by Bejawada, where she did not have scope to show her talent, except shake a leg with Chai in dull songs. The actress has, in fact, won many awards for her studied portrayal of a village belle in Mynaa. She looked so natural without make-up that the audience raved as much about her convincing performance as about her ability to look good.

Coming to SVSC, Dil Raju and Srikanth Addala had been mulling many options for now. Since the role is said to have some negative shades, they were looking for an able actress. Since Trisha and Anushka had been Mahesh's heroines in the past, Sneha seemed a better choice. It seems Sneha, who is getting married to actor Prasanna, did not give the nod. Her loss is Amala's gain. She is all set to be Mahesh Babu's vadinamma in this multi-crore project, which will go on the floors in January.
