He is his grandfathers grandson. In looks. In style. In dialogue delivery. In almost everything.

Now NTR Jr is going the whole hog and plans to do the kind of roles that his illustrious grandfather was justly famous for.

According to industry grapevine, the cherubic young actor, who is riding a crest wave of success these days, is planning to take a plunge into mythological
films.

NTR had made a career out of playing the likes of Lord Krishna (Vishnu), Lord Rama and countless kings and sages. His son Balakrishna also dabbled his hands in some mythological films.

Now the buzz is that the robust NTR Jr is getting ready to do a Mahabaratha story --- most probably of Karna. The news is that the actor has already started working on the nuances of the role (the diction, the dialogue delivery et al).

His favorite V V Vinayak (of Adi and Samba fame) may get to direct the film.

NTR Jr has actually done a mythological epic (Balaramayana). But that was years ago. Now he is a star. So this is a new challenge.

He has to assiduously re-create the past. His future depends on that.
