The biggest combination after 'Paramathma' (Puneeth Rajakumar and Yogaraj Bhat) – Arakshaka – superstar Upendra and P Vasu in the first eight days collected Rs.3.45 crores from 78 theatres says distributor Basha of Bahar films addressing the media.

The collections are low because we have not released the film like 'Chingari' that is in 180 theatres all over Karnataka. From Rs.3.5 crore collections in the first week the share for the producer Krishnaprajwal for 'Arakshaka' is Rs.2.5 crores. The rest is theatre rent says Basha the latest 'Collection King' of Kannada cinema.

It is 70 percent capacity now for 'Arakshaka'. The family audience have to come in the coming days says Basha.

According to superstar Upendra the only adverse response he received is that the film is confusing. When made 'A' the same was the response. For 'Arakshaka' after 13 years the terrific screenplay has to be closely watched. I have received response from people that say it has to be watched again.

There was a caption when 'A' was released in 1998 – Buddivantharige Mathra (only for intelligent people). For this film 'Arakshaka' the solid screenplay is so good that we have to put a caption as 'Athi Buddivantharige Mathra' (Only for very intelligent people) stated Upendra. I am satisfied for working under a great director mentioned Upendra.

There is already demand for 'Arakshaka' from Telugu and Tamil languages.
