'Sarfarosh', the 1999 Indian action film, will have a sequel in 2019. The film starred Aamir Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, Mukesh Rishi and Sonali Bendre in key roles. It's considered one of the best films in Aamir's illustrious career.

Writer-director John Matthew Matthan is once again penning the sequel. As per early reports, John Abraham will step into Aamir's shoes. But the director has not confirmed the same.

If the original was about Pakistan-abetted terrorism and how a team of Indian policemen led by Aamir Khan's character negate Pak's conspiracy, the sequel is reportedly going to be about Naxal terrorism.

It could hit the screens only in 2019, as the film is only in scripting stages as of now.
