Actor-director Ameer's mother passes away

Actor director Ameer's mother Paathu Muthu Biwi passed away due to age related issues. Her body has been kept at the Chennai K.K. Nagar residence of Ameer with whom she was staying. Celebrity friends and fans are paying homage to Biwi who was a big support to her son's journey as a notable personality in Tamil cinema and politics.

Ameer is currently directing 'Iraivan Miga Periyavan' in which he is playing one of the lead roles along with Soori and Sathya. The film is jointly written by director Vetrimaaran and Thangam. He is also said to be a part of Vetrimaaran's epic film 'Vaadivasal' starring Suriya and produced by Kalaipuli S Thaanu which has music by GVP.
