R.Madhavan fondly called as Maddy is one actor who does not have haters as he has never allowed himself to be compared as the rival of any other actor's peers. People loved and keep loving him for his smart looks, talented performance in the varied roles he selected and a cool and straight forward off screen persona.

Maddy belongs to the rare breed of actors who would never care about his image. After being accepted as the next chocolate boy romantic hero of Kollywood he did not want to settle in that safe zone. He dared to play second fiddle to Kamal Haasan in the classic film 'Anbe Sivam' He never hesitated a moment to play a less prominent male lead in the film 'Kannathil Muthamittal' which had more importance to the female characters. He happily accepted his mentor Mani Ratnam's offer to act as the lead villain in 'Aaytha Ezhuthu' and even tonsured his head for the character. He did all these when he was in his peak as a hero after giving back to back super hits.

Like every other actor Madhavan too had a lean phase of his career. But the multi-linguistic actor focused on the Bollywood prospects and carved a niche for himself as a good actor in India's biggest industry. His performances in a range of movies that include the critically acclaimed blockbuster 'Rang De Basanti', '3 Idiots', 'Tanu Weds Manu 1 & 2' has made him a sought after actor in Btown and he is equally popular in Hindi heartland as he is in South India.

Madhavan took a long break of four years to bounce back with 'Irudhi Suttru' in which has turned out to be a phenomenally acclaimed Tamil blockbuster of 2016. The actor known for his romance cum action roles played an unconventional role of a rugged boxing coach and also sported an unkempt look. He also underwent boxing training sessions and hit the gym and chiseled his body to suit the character. With 'Irudhi Suttru' Madhavan has announced in his style that his flair for acting and cinema hasn't reduced a bit and he is here to stay for years to come.

After giving such a fantastic film Madhavan has been showing extraordinary restraint in selecting his next film. Though his name is being linked with many directors nothing has been officially announced yet. But one thing we can be assured is that he will keep amazing us with a lot of high quality films in the coming years.

IndiaGlitz is happy to wish a Happy Birthday to Madhavan and we pray the almighty to bless him with a long, happy and healthy life.
